November Favourites!

I'm going to share my favourite products from the month of November.

First is the Maybelline New York Illegal Length Mascara in Black/Noir Waterproof. I purchased this mascara nearing the end of the month but it has quickly become a favourite of mine. It really does lengthen and thicken my lashes. It claims to have lash fibres in the actual mascara and I've noticed how long my lashes look when using it. I've even had compliments with people thinking I'm wearing fake lashes!

My second favourite of the month is the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. I received this as a gift last Christmas and I absolutely love it! It lives up to the hype and more!
The eye shadows themselves are very smooth and glide on, they have fantastic staying power and also have amazing pigmentation. All the shades are incredible and you get 12 full size eye shadows in the palette with a mix of finishes, which I love as I can do many different eye looks just using the one palette and it is great for travel as you have all your eye shadows in one place!  I will be doing a full review of this palette, discussing all the shades included in an upcoming blog post!

I have been looking for a foundation for some time now that suits my dry skin and struggle to find one that actually works for me.  I went into the MAC store and was told about the Studio Sculpt Foundation. It was tried on me in the store and I have never used a foundation that I loved so much and that looked so flawless! So I bought it in the colour NW20 and have been using it every day for the past month and I have to say, it is incredible!  It really suits my skin type and it glides on so smoothly, I apply it with a stippling brush, I use the one from Real Techniques. Previous foundations I've used have made my face look dry and patchy but this one is totally different! It makes my skin look amazing and I don't know how I've lived without it. I will be repurchasing this for sure!

While I was at the MAC store I also bought a Blush in the colour Dainty. It is a Mineralize blush and I love it, it's a pink shade with some shimmer in it, It suits my skin tone very well and I believe it is my favourite blush that I own, It has a very soft texture and it glides on to the skin beautifully. It was quite expensive however I feel that because of the quality of the product that it's worth it.

The last two favourites of the month are both from Soap and Glory. I have used many of Soap and Glory's bath and body products and they have all been great so when I saw they had came out with a  Make Up line I was eager to try them, however I have only just purchased products from the range.

Firstly I picked up the Supercat Carbon Black Extreme Eyeliner Pen. I always use an Eyeliner pen on almost a daily basis however I find they run out quickly or are too think, but this one is different. the pen isn't too thick, infact it is perfect, It has a very precise point and a bit of a thicker side so you can achieve your desired look. The colour is a very deep black which I love as I find some eyeliner pens that claim to be black have a greyish undertone to them and don't look very black!
The staying power of this product is amazing, It stays on all day and doesn't smudge at all!

Secondly, I picked up one of the Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks in Bashful, which is a lovely pink colour with a slight shimmer effect. It almost reminds me of the MAC blush I mentioned! It claims it is a 3D Volume Lip Shine and I agree! It leaves a lovely colour and shine to my lips and it also gives the effect of them being slightly plumped up which I love as I have small lips. It glides on very nicely and stays put for quite some time however it does come off if you eat or drink. Overall I love it and will be purchasing more colours!

I will be posting some full reviews over the next few days about some of the products I have mentioned,
Thank you for reading! xo

L'oreal Paris Colour Riche Eyeshadow

These are the L'oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadows.
Firstly I love all the L'oreal eyeshadows that I have tried in the past, the texture is always very smooth and creamy and the pigmentation is always fantastic, these are no exception! I absolutely love everything about these eyeshadows.
The pigmentation is amazing as is the colour selection. I chose the colour E1 Beige Trench as I thought it would be great for everyday wear and they really are, I have worn these shadows nearly every day since purchasing the product a few weeks ago.

Each colour is just as amazing as the next, they all have a slight shimmer to them and each have a creamy smooth texture that glides on fantastically. They have great staying power and last all day.

I have nothing bad to say about this product at all except maybe the price, at £7.99 a pop it isn't in everyone's price range, however I think they are well worth the price and I highly recommend them!

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara First Impressions/Review

Yesterday I purchased the Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara in Black.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this mascara as it has claims of it having a lash grow complex and also that it has been proven to give 117% longer lashes in 30 days.
After the first use I noticed it did lengthen my lashes and also thicken them.  The brush was easy to work with and it only needed a few coats whereas other mascaras I own I find that I need to layer them a lot.

This mascara has lasted well throughout the day and it held the curl well all day long. Some mascaras tend to make my lashes droop a little bit.

As for the claim it has lash growing properties, I will keep you updated on that the more I use it.
I do recommend this product as is does lengthen and thicken my lashes.

L'oreal Volume Million Lashes Diamantissime Mascara

This is the L'oreal Volume Million Lashes Diamantissime.

I have heard a lot about the Million Lashes mascara but not much about the Diamantissime mascara because of this I was curious to try it, especially because of the diamond aspect of it. It has a slight glittery effect on the lashes which isn't as noticeable as I first thought it would be, however I see this as a good thing as it is subtle enough to wear on a daily basis.
The brush is flexible and the product is easy to apply. The product does separate every lash without clumping, even when applying a few coats. I don't think it is the most lengthening mascara I have tried however it does give a nice finish on the eyes.
I own the black colour, it is pigmented but not as much as other mascaras by L'oreal.
Overall, it is a great mascara but I think there are better ones out there for around a similar price.

MUA Power Pouts Colour Intense Tint and Balm Review

These are the MUA Power Pouts Colour Intense Tint and Balm. These are advertised as a balm that has great pigmentation. They live up to that as they are very pigmented and the colour is very buildable.
They are very similar to Clinique's Chubby Sticks and Revlons Just Kissable Balm Stains. Just like the Revlon Balm Stains these have a slight minty smell.
It is great to see cheaper brands creating balm stains as the Revlon ones are great but do not suit everyones budget.
The colour pay off with these is fantastic, I have the colours Broken Hearted and Irreplaceable.

As these are very similar to the Revlon Just Bitten stains i tested them against each other and the formulation of both products is very similar and both last quite a long time, however I think the Revlon Balm Stain has better staying power than the MUA Power Pouts but for just £3 the MUA Power Pouts are great and are at a fantastic price!
The only downside of this product is that it can have the tendency to bleed a little and also smudge, this isn't such a problem with the lighter shades that I own but for one of the more intense shades this could be an issue.
Overall I love this product, the pigmentation is fantastic and it is quite moisturising on the lips. They are well worth the price and I highly recommend them to everyone!

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint Review

I am a huge fan of Barry M's Nail Paints in general and I own a large amount of them.
The pigmentation is always fantastic and they have an amazing colour selection with every colour you can think of!

So I went into Boots recently and decided to pick up some of the new Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints as I have heard a lot about them.

I ended up picking two shades, in Dragon Fruit and Blueberry.

I loved these colours as they are not colours I would normally gravitate towards.  A lot of my current nail polishes are darker or more deep in colour. So I thought I would change it up a little, I have only tried the Blueberry colour so far and I absolutely love it!  The pigmentation is fantastic and it has a shine to it once dry which is incredible. The lasting power is also amazing, it doesn't chip whilst doing normal everyday activities which most of my other nail polish seems to do.

Overall I would really recommend these and I will definitely be picking more of these up!
